Emotional Intelligence

emotional intelligence The dance of emotions in a classroom is magical and mystical. Emotions can boost or stifle learning. Emotions can calm or stress a teacher.

In a thinking classroom we learn to recognise our emotions, name them, express them and then let them pass. Joy, anger, sadness, surprise, fear and other emotions are valued and discussed. Children are taught to feel and express what their hearts are saying.

When teaching in a Thinking Classroom we model emotional maturity to our children.
